These are Workshops Zebrine has led in the past and would be glad to lead againDancing Your Divine Nature
The body connects to mind and spirit. In this active workshop, we will use dance to purify our minds to recognize our own true nature as beings of wisdom, compassion & power. It is not a difficult dance, but rather an embodiment of spiritual practice. The connection of spirit to body allows for greater awareness and healing. The Goddess, The Buddha & the Tarot Explore the connections between the Buddha Goddess Tara of the Tibetan tradition, the Tarot, and your own life. This workshop will give an introduction to the connections between these two mystery traditions, will offer practice of simple movement meditations relating to both major and minor arcana, and will guide each participant in giving themselves a personal mini-reading. Love the One You’re With: Body Image and Self-Love What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you see the wonder of the divine cosmos, the god or goddess incarnate? Or do you see all of your flaws? Most of the time we focus on the scars, the faults, the problems. We constantly tell ourselves negative messages about our bodies, over and over again reinforcing every criticism we’ve ever heard and worse. Changes in our bodies as we age make this even more challenging. But you only get one body in this lifetime! It’s the center of your sexy self! Love the one you’re with! In this inspiring and practical workshop, Wisdom and Wordsmith will share some of their own experiences, from surviving breast cancer and a double mastectomy to coping with erectile dysfunction, along with methods for how can we feel like our most sexy selves, even when our bodies don’t want to cooperate. The presentation will include an interactive meditation and will close with a movement practice to help improve body image and self-love. Pagan Poly Kinky Family Feud Do you ever watch game shows and wonder “What are those people thinking and why don’t they have anything in common with me?” Well, come play our version of Family Feud!” We will run a survey through Google Forms through the first few days of the event asking some basic questions from the popular game show, questions where the answers would definitely be different for a polyamorous, Pagan, or kinky group. We will run the game for our “chosen family” teams during the workshop and offer prizes for everyone who takes part. Rainbow Connections (Part I & II) The seven chakras are centers of the body that correspond to all aspects of life (the four elements, creativity, vision, and divinity). This is a practical sacred workshop for partners to create bonds with one another through their chakras. A sacred space will be created, then Wisdom will briefly explain each chakra and guide the partners through visualizations and affirmations for each one, committing that aspect of their life to each other. For example, in the root chakra, which represents the hearth, home, and body, the partners might promise each other that they will care for their physical health and their home. This is an interactive workshop for participants, not for observers. Immeasurable: A Buddhist Approach to Polyamory Multiple loving relationships provide many benefits but also many emotional challenges. Wisdom and Wordsmith have developed methods of using Buddhist teachings called the Immeasurables (Perfect Love, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy, and Non-Attachment) to create more harmonious and fulfilling relationships. These techniques can be useful in any type of relationship, but they are especially relevant to polyamory. Bring your partner(s) or your whole polycule. It will be a mix of presentation, interactive discussion, and practical application… plus coloring! |
