Camp Half-Blood

The rest of this page describes our in-person program - An immersive program based on Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson books that focuses on Greek Mythology and the Hero's Journey.
We bring the outdoors indoors, with trees and the ever-burning hearth of Hestia in an indoor space. Through hands-on activities, our demi-gods in training will:
* Explore the basics of the major Olympian Greek Gods & Goddesses through art, science, music, drama, and games.
* Receive an orange "Rhode Island Camp Half-blood" T-shirt.
* Earn beads for their own Half-Blood necklace through various activities.
* Practice simple and safe sword-fighting and archery techniques.
* Play Capture the Flag, compete in a Chariot Race, and go on a Mythic Monster Hunt to face Medusa, a Fury, and Cerberus!
* Theme days based on Earth, Fire, Water & Air.
* Separated into two teams (Team Iliad and Team Odyssey), campers will earn laurels for their efforts.
* Send "Iris Messages" each day so perhaps they can be claimed by a "godly parent" or be blessed by one of the Olympians at the end of the week.
* High school youth may apply as junior counselors.
