We encourage you to read about our program here,

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... a young boy reaches for a broom. But it's not a broom. It's a light saber. He's not just a stable boy. He's a Jedi Knight. He's fighting for peace, justice and the living Force that binds the galaxy together. He is every child. He is your child.
You loved the movies as a child, and now you love sharing them with your children. Let them live the Jedi experience in a whole new way at our Jedi Academy.
And May the Force Be With You. Always. The five days include theatre lessons based on:
Our camps teach theatre with a side of STEAMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Music), so there's something for everyone. But if this program were summed up in one word, it would be “Mindfulness.” Students learn to pay close attention to their experience of themselves and the world around them. Through training of the mind and body, we help students discover who they want to be as they move through life. Mindfulness exercises help children develop a greater awareness of themselves and others, along with solutions for nonviolent communication. Ongoing research shows mindfulness training helps children learn skills in calming down, paying attention, and care for others. But these classes are not philosophical discussions. This is hands-on, active training for young Jedi Padawans. Our version of the Jedi Code encourages balance:
Emotions, yet Peace Ignorance, yet Knowledge Passion, yet Serenity Chaos, yet Harmony Death, yet, the Force We all must face the dark side in our lives.
We come to a place of balance, and so we learn from many directions. In order to train for the "skill" of light sabers, our students will train with Darth Symet: But they will not face these trials alone! Each student will join a clan (team) based on one aspect of the code, though we each have all aspects within us. Which clan will your youngling or padawan choose?

Children younger than middle school will not be knighted for they are still in training. It is a type of "coming of age." Jedi Showcase & Knighthood Ceremony 3 pm, Friday April 17 Has your child never seen Star Wars?
That's ok! Knowledge of the Galaxy Far, Far Away is recommended, but not required. All are welcome! These Are The DROIDS We're Looking For:We have already hired our paid staff for this program, but we need some excellent teen volunteers (who are called DROIDS - Doing Really Odd and Important Duties and Stuff). We have already hired our paid staff for this program, but we need some excellent teen volunteers (who are called DROIDS - Doing Really Odd and Important Duties and Stuff). These are volunteer roles and we do need them to help with the younglings and padawans, but they get to go through all of the same training classes while the younger padawans do and may choose to face the trials for initiate knighthood if they wish.
We would also welcome a few parent volunteer Jedis who would then get additional discounts or even fully free registrations for their children to attend Jedi Academy in exchange for their service: |
Costume Challenges
As with our summer camps, we create an immersive environment by wearing costumes every day. Students are also encouraged to come in costume as padawans, which would traditionally mean wearing a tunic and leggings of some sort with boots and a belt. They will be given a padawans braid and belt as part of their camp “uniform.” Padawans are asked not to bring their own light sabers from home as we have standardized practice sabers for them to use. But for four days of the week, we will offer optional character “Costume Challenges.” On these days, padawans, DROIDS and Masters are encouraged to dress in costumes of characters (etc.) from:
- Tuesday: The Prequel Trilogy Movies, Episodes I, II, III
- Wednesday: The Original Trilogy, Episodes IV, V, or VI
- Thursday: The Conclusion of the Skywalker Saga, Episodes VII, VIII, or IX
- Friday: The Extended Universe, Solo, Rogue One, Clone Wars, The Mandalorian and more!
