  • A virtual camp in a secured Zoom meeting space.
  • Begin in our Virtual Great Hall, a large group meeting in the morning.
  • Then we "breakout" into House Common Rooms. They will get a chance to see friends they already know and meet some new friends in their house from across the country and possibly even around the world. Our four houses are Stonedragon, Windhorse, Waverider, and Phoenixfire. 
  • After that groups will separate for six magical classes. Since all of our classes are Halloween-themed, some of them will be separated by "scary" or "not-as-scary" instead of by age in order to meet everyone's needs and interests (though depending on our numbers they may be separated by age as well). Parents can indicate students' choices on the registration form.  
    • Magical History (Halloween History through Music)
    • PRISM (Magical Protections that Glow-in-the-Dark)
    • Potions (Slime? or Stage Blood?) 
    • SFX Makeup (Fantasy? or Horror?) 
    • Magical Beings (Fairy Lights? or Scary Fairies?)
    • and Fractured Fairy Tale Acting (based on the originals... Not-So-Scary? or Super Creepy?).  
  • Are your kids tired of virtual learning? I know we'll still be meeting via Zoom, but this is a different experience than distance learning. In small, interactive classes, your kids will be able to connect to other imaginative kids in a unique creative experience similar to the camp environment they would at The Imaginorium Academy in person. 
  • In the evening sessions we will be able to do some fun glow-in-the-dark activities. For the close of the evening session on Friday, we will watch together the 20-minute video of the play Phoebe Phoenixfire and the Onethings, filmed at our summer academy.
  • We will break for lunch on Saturday from 12:30-1:00, logging off from computers... though kids who want to spend time in breakout rooms with other students may do so.
  • We will meet again in the afternoon for more classes. We'll be joined by the same staff as last time: Headmistress Iris Imaginoria, Deputy Headmistress De La Mer, Professor Katydid, Professor Southpaw, Professor Shira, Professor Illuminata, and Professor Tech, and introducing Professor Josiah Hedgewick. All have Rhode Island background checks. The staff will also share some of their talents during some of the assembly periods.
  • Saturday morning we will have a costume challenge for house points, but then Saturday evening we will have a Costume Contest for prizes! We will also offer new games, an Imaginorium House Pumpkin Decorating Challenge, Imaginorium Songs, and, as always, the House Cup Competition.
  • In order to make things as simple as possible for the parents, we will ship a package of supplies to all students who register before October 5. Some supplemental supplies will be needed, and any students registering after that will be provided with a detailed supply list.
  • Some students (especially in other time zones) may not be able to attend the Friday session, so we are offering a Saturday-only option as well.
